Where Spot, now?

"Where's Spot," an old favorite, is suffering from all the love. Romi (pictured here in Matt's cap and eating the closet door from the book) can lift and look for Spot all on her own. She is so intent on finding him that she just rips those helpless paper tabs right off. Today, I took the book out of circulation in an attempt to save its life, and save Romi from eating more colored paper.

A grinning homage to Heather's college town.

And, little miss curls (post-bath hair), enjoying a book starring another dog. "Good Dog, Carl" A painted, almost wordless book about a Rottweiler who's left alone to watch the baby. The page Romi is staring at shows the baby climbing out of his crib onto Carl's back. Adventure ensues. :-) She loves the book. It is tied as her new favorite with "Good Night, Gorilla." Also an almost wordless story about a gorilla who gets a hold of the zookeeper's keys.

As for landmarks... she weighed 18lbs 9oz and measured 29 1/4 inches at her last Dr's visit.
Romi is cutting her top teeth, a more painful experience than the lowers. Then, she began smacking her gums together with a full jaw motion - it looked like she was the puppet of a ventriloquist. Now, she is using her hand to hit her upper gums and sounds ABe Be Be ABe Be Be Be at the same time. It's crazy cute.

Camping in Yosemite

We just returned from a 5 day camping trip in Yosemite National Park. We
stayed up in Tuolumne Meadows campground and took day trips into the Valley, out to Mono Lake and just hung around up along the Tioga Pass. It was amazing and Romi was a super tropper. The water was cold, but Romi didn't complain. She was more curious about the pebbles beneath her feet.
We had an amazing time.
